The next morgning, the Ramalinga Lords accompanied Lord Li Fu and a score of his retainers on the hunt for the Asura tiger. With the aid of the Lords, the Agrapur hunter tracked the beast through a bamboo forest. Accordning to Lord Li Fu, there were some ancient ruins in the south end of the valley. These ruins were excacated a long time ago. Perhaps this is a likely location for the tiger's new lair. As the Lords made the ardous trek through the bamboo forest they conversed with Lord Li Fu. He asked his guests if the troubles in the Imperial City had reached their lands. Apparently there were dissidents who were fomenting rebellion. These were grave tidings indeed.
Suddenly, Lord Hazir spotted an Asura tiger as it was about to strike. The tiger pounced on one of the retainers and disappeared. The Lords advanced. Lady Darshi located the bloody remains of the retainer, and Lord Naresh followed the beasts through the thicket. Alone in the bamboo, he was ambushed by three large tiger cubs who pounce on him. The other Lords joined the fight. Lord Naresh was sorely wounded as he slew one of the tigers while Lady Darshi accounted for the other two.
The triumphant Lords carried the decapitated heads of the slain Asura tigers back to the lodge. Lord Li Fu served an exquisite banquet in honor of his guests. The young host and his guests discussed ways of improving the relations between their houses, such as trade or roads.
The Ramalinga Lords decided to build a sumptous palace as residence for their honored uncle, Lord Azizi.
