Proposed Revision (Starfox)[edit | edit source]
The original table works as long as the armor grants DR, not Hardness. If we want to have hardness values, we should reduce the protective values. Maybe we should do that even if we let DR remain mere DR.
Golden Armor | AC | Hardness | Max Dex | Check Penalty | Spell Failure | Weight |
No Armor | ||||||
Circlet | - | 5 | - | - | - | 0 lb |
Light Armor | ||||||
Helm * | +4 | 5 | - | - | 5% | 1 lb |
Cuirass | +8 | 5 | +7 | -0 | 10% | 5 lb |
Medium Armor | ||||||
Breastplate | +9 | 10 | +5 | -1 | 10% | 6 lb |
Heavy Armor | ||||||
Articulated plate | +10 | 10 | +3 | -2 | 20% | 10 lb |
- The Hardness bonus of of a golden helm combines with that of one other item of golden armor except the circlet. The armor class bonus does not.
I've been thinking some of the effects of differentlevels of Hardness for Hazir.
Hazir will do 3d10 damage in the forseable future. A Hardness of 15 means Hazir has a hard time hurting them - only good rolls will cause any damage. Hardness beyond that point makes you invulnerable. So even the revised values given here are very high.
