A few weeks after the successful slaying of the Asura tiger (577Q3), Modina sent out an invitation to all nobles in the area to the harvest festival. House Pandino were likely to be there and display some of the items they had unearthed from their ruins. The Ramalinga Lords decided to put on a show and brought a caravan of about 300 people along for the festivities. During the glorious display of Ramalinga grandure and power, Li Fu, the most recent addition to the Ramalinga name, and Shawar Ruhu, who joined up shortly there after.

The Ramalinga caravan, laden with many chests of gold then carried on, south trough Paniren lands, and crossed the great Jambavant river, named so after the bear that Rama defeated and later rode.

Arriving in Modina proper, the Ramalinga lords noted the opulence and richness of the Modina house. After having been shown their newbuilt palace for the stay, the Lords were much appreciative of their Modina hosts.

Darshi immediately begins weapons training after the trek, so as not to lose edge, while Naresh climbs the stairs to the top of palace to get a good look of the city. He later takes a guided tour of the city, accompanied by the stern Miyao of Modina, as Darshi fences with weapon master of Modina, Mohapet.

Jangir finds several willing women, music and chemical entertainment waiting in his chambers, while Varadiya takes her cool bath together with her husband Li Fu. They are later joined by some local minor nobles who wish nothing but to please.

Meanwhile Ramachandra, who is setting up an information network, receives a letter with a proposition from Bolfa Modina, the House Sorcerer. After double-checking the letter, Ramachandra declines close relations with Bolfa, whose tastes he does not share.

The holy one Nazir makes a trip outside the town, where the Primal Monks of Northern Celestial Air have set up camp. Here he meets Shwarma Ling, and they converse. They then decide to reenter the city, where Shwarmas brother Shuhar awaits them. Before meeting him, Shwarma wishes to meet with his old friend Azizi, and he does so, while Nazir waits. They then go to see the venerable one. As they approach abbot Shuhar, he is speaking fervently with another member of the host House: Samara Modina. She is very agitated and is put in her place by the combined intellectual and social prowess of the Ramalinga and Northern Celestial Air.

The day is concluded by a meeting of all the Ramalinga nobles as they contemplate the grave day ahead of them. Going head-to-head with the Modina family. A list of what Alalan Pandino has brought along to sell, is also provided. There will be a closed bidding auction the next day, where he will sell his precious finds.
