Character building rules[edit | edit source]
Character points[edit | edit source]
Normally, characters are built on 64 points, divided into 3 parts. This may change depending on the campaign or setting.
- 16 Attribute points
- 16 Skill points
- 16 Schtick points
- 16 Free Points. These may be used to buy anything.
Any type of points may be used to buy Perks and Flaws at normal cost.
Character Attributes[edit | edit source]
All attributes start at 5, except Soul attributes which start at 0.
Attributes can be found here
Point Costs[edit | edit source]
Attribute Points[edit | edit source]
1 Attribute point buys +1 in an Attribute (up to the Attribute maximum, normally 10 before modifiers).
Skill Points[edit | edit source]
1 Skill point buys 10 in a Skill. The first 1 point in a Skill also provides 1 Proficiency.
1 Skill point buys 1 Proficiency or +1 in a Skill.
Schtick Points[edit | edit source]
2 Schtick points buy 1 Schtick. Some Schticks cost differently.
All points[edit | edit source]
Any points may be used to buy Perks and Flaws.
Character Classes[edit | edit source]
There are a number of (often campaign-specific) Classes that change some aspects of a character.
Skill Max[edit | edit source]
You may not have more than the square root (total points/10) +7 in an Attribute, Skill or Schtick bonus. This is called the CampaignMax, AttributeMax, SkillMax or SchtickMax. There are Perks that raise the Max, and Classes that do the same.
Total Points | CampaignMax | Total points | CampaignMax |
0 | 7 | 49 | 14 |
1 | 8 | 64 | 15 |
4 | 9 | 81 | 16 |
