One of the lords of House Ramalinga and the governor of Anaprava province.
A student of enlightenment, Hazir is a serious young man. Not blessed by the grace and beauty of the Deva, he forcuses more on inner abilities. Yet, the current plight of the empire has affected him greatly, making him decide to focus as a Defender Monk once his obligations allow it. He is constantly torn between his desire for a secluded, enlightened life and his duties to house and empire.
Description[edit | edit source]
The most kind description that can be made of the Lord Hazir is that he is severe. A more neutral description is that he looks scary. His is a slight, thin-limbed man that would be quite unremarkable except for his outgoing personality and his ancestral ability to connect to people. His skin is dark, his eyes dark and intense, and he has a small beard and some unkept hair, unlike the many shaved monks.
Background[edit | edit source]
Hazir grew up under humble conditions. His mother left him on the doorstep of an enlightened temple, and he grew up as a monk. As ca child, he showed few of the characteristic signs of nobility, and was raised humbly. As he grew, his masters came to realize his potential and started to reain him more seriously. At this time, he also started to have visions of another life, one of refinement and luxury.
It was not until the then very young Lord Ramachandra visited the temple that the true nature of Hazir's bloodline became obvious. In Lord Ramachandra search for enlightenment he was naturally drawn to the temple where Lord Hazir was being trained, and the two young lords immediately found one another. It was decided that Lord Hazir should follow Lord Ramachandra back into the world when he left the monastic life.
Thus becan a new period in Lord Hazir's life, one of opulence and learning the life of a noble. Hunting, archery, and luxorious travel became his new life. He met the man who was probably his his estranged father, though no special relationship developed.
In the end, Hazir decided that the life of discipline and enlightenment was what he desired, and he returned to the monastic life. It was decided that he would not withdraw into complete seclusion, however, instead taking care of trade in Anaprava Province. This would satisfy both his craving for enlightenment and his craving for travel.
Then came the Fall and the province was lacking in leadership. As both a scion of House Ramalinga and an enlightened monk, versed in the all-important trade arrangements of the province, the responsibility of leadership naturally fell on his shoulders.
Ancestors[edit | edit source]
Lord Hazir and Lord Ramachandra display the characteristic Karmic Link of those hailing from the ancestral twins Najiv and Vidya Pilabha.
